1st place for Finn Treudler
 and 8th place for Jacqueline Schneebeli at todays EKZ CrossTour
 in Hittnau.

WOW, what a start into the new year. Our U19 cyclo-cross rider Finn Treudler wins the first CX race of the year at the EKZ CrossTour
 in Hittnau, Switzerland. In icy and cold conditions Finn was able to win by just 41 seconds ahead of the Czech Jindrich Pavel and with more than 1 minute ahead of Nils Aebersold. Although the Czech led the field for a long time, Finn was able to mobilize all his strength in the last climb and passed him. With today's victory Finn is in the overall standings on the fantastic 3rd place. Keep it up Finn! ????????

His own Racereport:
"I had a good start and rode at the front. Then the Czech champion attacked. I couldn't keep up, but I was able to pull away from the others.
At one point I was 20 seconds behind. In the last lap I was able to catch up with the Czech and passed him with an attack on the hill.
The Czech then pulled away and I won with a 40-second lead."

Also our U23-CX Swiss champion Jacqueline Schneebeli started today in Hittnau. Unfortunately, the icy cold and the resulting difficult conditions was a bit to much for her her. Nevertheless, she was able to hold on to a good 8th place in a strong elite women field. Congratulations Jacquline! ????????
