Race report Sunshine Racers Cup Nals, 10.04.2021

Spring weather in South Tyrol, amidst blossoming fruit trees, the traditional race in Nals took place.

The organizer made every effort to run the race in compliance with Corona rules.
Beforehand it is worth knowing that Nals is a course with a hammer climb and a nevertheless technical descent, a tight loop through the village, through the finish on a new. The course has not many points where you can overtake.

On Saturday it was first Finn Treudler U19's turn.

Nina Benz had the best start followed by Ramona Forchini. Ramona turned her fastest lap at the end, 23rd place!
Nina just behind in 26th place, happy with her form heading into the World Cups.
Jacqueline reported a failed start which set her back, there she met Kim and together they were able to join a group and benefit from the slipstream. Jacky found her rhythm and liked the race. This brought her back to her starting position, 37th place.
Kim Ames improved in the start. But after that she still made too many mistakes. Too often she had to click in and out of the bike uphill. That left her behind in the field. Place 56 with view of the training construction it said it confidently on the correct way to be.

With the starting signal the fight starts right away.
Simon invested a lot in the starting phase to be able to hold his position. He succeeded and was able to drive a solid race. Rank 48th brought that in.
Frazer came into the world, we say colloquially. It was a big shock for his system after the long winter training. The first race in Nals, because before that he was not allowed to travel. He started too fast, for which he then paid and was handed back again. Place 84, definitely very below his expectations.
