In Rickenbach, Lucerne, the first race of the Proffix Swiss Bike Cup took place on Sunday.
Jacky Rickenbach 2022Jacqueline Schneebeli presented herself from her best side. Behind Olympic bronze medalist Linda Indergand, she rode to second place. «The fight for second place was tough. I am very satisfied that I was able to decide it for myself», Schneebeli said of her race. The second jb elite rider, Kim Ames, was struggling with back problems. Thanks to a fast final lap, however, she still finished 10th. Anina Hutter also showed a strong performance. She finished third in the U19 category, although she crashed in the second round and had to catch up afterwards. «I am happy», Anina said.

Finn Rickenbach 2022In the men's race Finn Treudler achieved the best result. In the amateur/masters category he won with more than one and a half minutes lead. In the elite category our Austrian duo with Charly Markt and Gregor Raggl achieved decent results despite difficulties. Markt finished sixth, Raggl ranked right behind. «At the start I fell far behind because of an accident, after that I could continuously make up places and I am satisfied. I hope it continues like this», said team senior Markt. Raggl had to pay a little tribute to his high pace at the start, struggling to stay with the leading group towards the halfway point of the race. «Towards the end, however, I was able to make up places, which makes me confident. The build-up towards the World Cup is on pace. »
